Player Experiences:

  •         -2013 | play in Japan 🇯🇵

  • 2013-2017 | play in Germany 🇩🇪

  • 2017-2020 | play in Australia 🇦🇺

I played for Shūtoku High School, competing in both the Inter-High and National High School Championships. After graduating, I moved to Germany, where I spent four years playing in Divisions 4 (U20), 6, and 7, gaining valuable experience in the European football environment.

At the age of 23, I relocated to Sydney, Australia, where I continued my playing career for three years. After retiring as a player, I founded my own football academy, TSUBASA TFS, in 2021.

Now a permanent resident of Australia, I leverage my experiences in Japan, Germany, and Australia to support players through international football study-abroad programs, language education, and overseas football tours, helping them grow both on and off the pitch while pursuing their dreams.

  • Solicitor admitted at  Australian High Court

  • Justice of the Peace (JP), New South Wales, Australia

About Me

Leo You is a Co-Founder of the World Elite Football Program (WEP) and an Australian-qualified solicitor with a strong international and cross-cultural background. Guided by the principles of the rule of law, fairness, and responsibility, Leo brings a governance-driven and long-term mindset to youth football development and international exchange programs. He firmly believes that a high-quality youth football program requires not only professional coaching, but also clear structures, robust safeguards, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of young players and their families.

Leo has extensive experience in managing complex, multi-party projects across different jurisdictions and cultural environments. His professional background has equipped him with the ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage risk, and ensure that programs operate within clear, transparent, and compliant frameworks. These skills are directly applied to WEP’s operations, ensuring that international training camps, exchanges, and travel programs are delivered in a safe, structured, and reliable manner.

As a Co-Founder of WEP, Leo is primarily responsible for overall program structure, legal and regulatory compliance, international partnerships, and communication with parents and partner organisations. He is committed to integrating Australia’s strong governance standards, Japan’s disciplined and high-performance youth football systems, and the educational values of families across Asia, to create meaningful and high-quality development pathways for talented young players.

Outside of work, Leo is also a father, which gives him a deep understanding of the concerns and expectations parents have when their children participate in overseas football programs. This perspective underpins WEP’s core principles of safety, transparency, and long-term development. In his personal time, Leo enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is a lifelong supporter of Shanghai Shenhua Football Club, reflecting his enduring passion for the game of football.
